Curriculum & Instruction
Designing, Developing and Implementing Curriculum
Today’s classrooms are quickly changing. Teachers need to be prepared to meet challenges head-on, find answers to complex questions and tackle issues associated with designing an effective curriculum while effectively implementing it.
Teachers with a background in curriculum and instruction make a difference through their in-depth knowledge of designing, developing, implementing and evaluating curriculum. This, combined with the understanding of humanistic and behavioral issues in teaching and the ability to be a strong leader, prepares professionals who are successful in their teaching endeavors.
St. Thomas educates teachers who want to expand their awareness and improve their instructional strategies by deepening their knowledge, enhancing their skills, stirring their imaginations and appreciating that being a teacher in today’s educational environment requires innovative ideas.
