Graduate Continuing Education for Professional Educators

What makes the University of St. Thomas School of Education continuing education program different from other Continuing Education programs?

We pride ourselves on our rigorous course review process and student evaluation procedure. All of our courses are reviewed and evaluated by a committee of P-12 teachers, administrators, and other professionals from the field, using a rubric designed by the committee. Evaluations ensure that courses are constructed around graduate level requirements that have an impact on P-12 student achievement. All of our courses are designed to meet the needs of professional educators and the students they serve. New courses are evaluated as they are submitted, and existing courses are reexamined on a rotating schedule.

Building on over a 50-year graduate tradition, and in partnership with practitioners and experts in the education community, these practical, high quality, values-based courses empower educators to bring the excitement of learning to their students and to deal with the challenges faced in the classroom, school, and community. Our Continuing Education credits ARE applicable to graduate degree programs within the University of St. Thomas’s School of Education, based on prior approval.
