All resident students (except juniors and seniors living in Morrison or Selby; residents living in the Grand apartments; and sophomores with junior status) must purchase a meal plan. If no meal plan is selected, the student is automatically placed on the Block 150 plan with flex dollars. Non-resident (off campus) students may purchase any meal plan.
The meal plans offered fall and spring semesters are designed to meet a variety of student needs.
Meal plan participants are welcome to dine in the Food Court and Binz West cafeteria on the St. Paul campus or Food for Thought in Minneapolis. St. Thomas meal plans are combined with flex dollar allowances that can be used as often as you wish for food purchases at any dining location on campus.
Meals and flex dollars must be used by the end of the semester in which the meal plan was purchased. Meals and funds do not carry over to the next semester.
All respective meals of each block meal plan my only be consumed by the student who purchased the meal plan contract. Guest meals (if included in the purchased meal plan) are the only exception. The number of guest meals allowed per semester will be determined by the meal plan selected. All meal plans offer unlimited seconds upon request. All food and beverages must be eaten in the Food Court and may not be taken out of the Food Court.
The Food Court is open seven days a week to meal plan participants, eXpress account and cash customers.
We realize that eating in a food court setting can be different. The assortment of food selections and different combinations make choices a challenge. We try to break this up by providing an assortment of changes to the menu and special dinners throughout the semester. If you have a recipe that you are willing to share, please submit it to Dining Services Director at Mail # 5049.
