Mathematics

I am honored to be a part of the Dougherty Family College. I chose to teach here because it offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group in a very close learning community. My favorite teaching moments come from integrating different ways of seeing the world into the teaching and learning of mathematics. I strongly believe that diversity strengthens a community, and I, therefore, look for ways to include a variety of voices. Dougherty Family College allows us to build stronger mathematical community built on different perspectives.

I am professionally dedicated to serving a diverse body of students and to helping all students, especially those who have been underserved and underprepared, to realize the benefits of a strong mathematics education that emphasizes problem solving and conceptual understanding. I hope to contribute energy, expertise, and a collaborative spirit to the Dougherty Family College.
