I joined the St. Thomas Development Office in March 2008. I am honored to support the university’s mission and commitment to educating ethical leaders. As a gift officer, I enjoy sharing St. Thomas’ core vision and values to our alumni, students, faculty members, friends and community leaders. My duties include serving as a liaison to the University of St. Thomas School of Law, promoting the athletics department through the University of St. Thomas Athletics Association, working toward the establishment of the Wildlife Art Museum at the Gainey Center in Owatonna, Minnesota, and managing all reunion activities as well as 50-year reunion committee activities. I also work with friends and alumni of St. Thomas who live in Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. Prior to joining the Development Office, I worked as an account executive at Mpls. St. Paul Magazine and was responsible for generating revenue in the education, retail, and healthcare categories. Most recently, I was the business development manager for Mosquito, a product development firm in Minneapolis. I led our business development initiatives by partnering with our clients to create marketing opportunities and produce merchandise to increase awareness and drive sales. I also have spent time volunteering for the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. In 2007, I co-chaired the annual Basilica Block Party committee, and we successfully entertained more than 25,000 people on the grounds of the Basilica of St. Mary! I graduated from St. Thomas in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising and business administration. As a student, I studied abroad in Brussels, Brugge, Amsterdam, Paris and London, and I participated in the American Marketing Association and Public Relations Student Society of America. Also in 2003, I earned an associate of applied science degree in advertising and marketing communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the many arts and cultural opportunities found in the Twin Cities and spending time with my husband, Jason (’03), and young son, Oliver. |
