E-mail is not a secure means of communication and though the counselors check their E-mail regularly, it is an inefficient method of emergency contact. In the event of an emergency or crisis, a phone call to (651) 962-6780 is always the best way to get in touch with someone in our office. We ask that confidential and personal information, crisis and emergency contact, as well as discussion about personal issues not be included in an E-mail message. We provide our E-mail as a means of contact to assist in providing general information outside of crisis or counseling (Examples: "When is your next event on campus?" "Would you be able to present a topic to our class?" "How can I get information on depression for a paper I'm writing?") No appointments may be made via E-mail.
