Cognos Planning

The university has installed the Cognos Planning budget software system to allow entry and review of the future year budget via the web. With the installation of the electronic budget software program departments can budget by account code and project for the future four fiscal years, as well as view reports of the budget information. The Cognos Planning budget software will be used for both general operation and restricted funds that receive endowment earnings and the same timeline will be followed.

Mac Users:  As you may recall from past years, we ran into various issues for MAC users related to Cognos Planning.  Because we have been unable to resolve these issues, MAC users will be required to use a PC to complete their budgets.  Purchasing Services (AQU 201) has a PC that you may use or you can use a PC in your department as well.
