Volunteers in Action

VIA: Volunteers in Action

VIA (Volunteers In Action) is a student-led organization advised by a staff person in Campus Ministry. Student directors and team leaders facilitate volunteer teams working with community organizations. Volunteers repair homes, mentor children, work in hospitals, and share their time with people on the margins of society.

  • Fall and Spring volunteer fairs
  • The annual Holiday Dinner with people from the Listening House and Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul.
  • Multi-college Habitat for Humanity fund-raising event
  • August immersion for VIA Team Leaders in the West Side neighborhood
