Department of Campus Life

Each campus co-curricular organization must provide service to the community to remain eligible for campus funding. Some organizations are focused specifically on service, such as:

  • Up All Night, which raises funds for St. Jude’s Hospital.
  • Gamma Sigma Sigma is a national service sorority, Gamma

Sigma Sigma brings members together in the spirit of service,
while developing friendships. It strives to achieve feelings of
accomplishment for services completed and fosters a sense of
responsibility.

  • Silver Wings Society, a national co-ed, professional
    organization dedicated to creating proactive,
    knowledgeable and effective civic leaders through community
    service and education about national defense.
  • Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes and encourages superior
    scholarship, leadership of men and women and development
    of general campus citizenship. Membership is restricted to
    juniors and seniors with exemplary character, scholarship,
    service and leadership in campus life.

It is the mission of the Department of Campus Life at the University of St. Thomas to empower and support the student in personally and collectively effecting positive social change so as to create a better community and a better world for self and others. This mission is to be realized by:

  • Engaging students in active learning.
  • Helping students develop coherent values, and ethical
    standards.
  • Forging educational partnerships that advance student
    learning.
  • Building supportive and inclusive communities.
