Academic Service Learning

More than 50 faculty members across all disciplines, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels integrate service into their classrooms in the form of Service Learning. Service-learning is the integration of community outreach projects into academic courses. Faculty and students work with community partners in reciprocal ways that foster students? social responsibility and civic engagement within the framework of specific academic disciplines. Projects can be once or sustained throughout an entire semester and might be local, regional, national, or international.
