History

The UST Nordic Ski team was founded by Steve Assie and Mike Tschida (both former ski captains in high school) their freshman year in time for the 2004/2005 ski season.  Today's team is a reincarnated form of the one that existed years ago at UST, founded by a group of Tommie rowers who wanted an outdoor cross-training sport for the winter months.

Today, the team has evolved into one of the largest on campus in terms of student participation.  It has begun to compete on the collegiate and regional skiing scene.  There remain two groups on the team: a fun, social skiing element as well as the traditionally competitive one.

Anyone is welcome to join; this year promises to be the best yet.
