The University of St. Thomas Shotokan Karate Club was founded in 2004. The purpose of the Shotokan Karate Club is
To instruct the traditional form of karate, Shotokan
To promote self-awareness and self-defense
To provide an opportunity for social engagement
To uphold the principles of the Dojo Kun.
We are an ACC-recognized organization composed of students and faculty from the University of St. Thomas and the colleges and universities of the Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC).
The Shotokan Karate Club meets multiple times a week to practice karate. We also attend tournaments, and hold various social events for our members.
