Purpose of Delta Sigma Pi
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the
study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social
activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement
by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the
commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher
standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and
commercial welfare of the community.

Delta Sigma Pi History
The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi was founded on November 7, 1907 at the School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance at New York University by four aspiring business students: Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello, and Henry Albert Tienken. Since that time, Delta Sigma Pi has developed into one of the best known Greek letter fraternities on college campuses. It is also the largest and perhaps most highly respected business fraternities as recognized by the business community. With over 240 collegiate chapters and more than 50 alumni chapters across the nation, total membership in Delta Sigma Pi exceeds
220,000.
Nu Tau History
The Nu Tau Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi first began as the colony of Sigma Delta Chi, which was founded on February 23, 1994 by twelve business students at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. This ambitious group worked closely with the University of St. Thomas Division of Business, Twin Cities Alumni Chapter, Alpha Epsilon Chapter at the University of Minnesota and Fraternity officials, and within fourteen months had grown into a pledge class of twenty-seven members.
On April 8, 1995, the colony of Sigma Delta Chi was installed as the 240th chapter of the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi-the Nu Tau Chapter. Since that time, the Chapter has initiated over
400 members, including faculty and honorary initiates.

Delta Sigma Pi, a co-ed professional fraternity, is open to all aspiring students of business and economics, and is founded on the ideals of:
Professionalism, Service, and Brotherhood.
A Deltasig provides an endless opportunity to take part in shared responsibility, volunteer, and meet new people with similar interests.
