About the Club
Hopefully, this section will give you an idea of what the club is like.
If you'd like to learn more about the club, the best way is to just show
up to meetings and see it for yourself. Anyone is welcome (not just
accounting majors) to stop by
the meetings and try the club out. Just be sure to sign in when the
sheet goes around so you can eventually fulfill your membership
requirements if you decide to join the club. Of course, if you have
any questions be sure to email any of the club contacts listed on the
right.
At Meetings
The format of the meetings is pretty simple:
show up around 11:45 and food is provided; the firm starts their
presentation around noon; and whenever they finish (before 1:00) it's open
for questions. The club aims to provide students with the
information about their future careers that isn't taught in the classroom.
We hope the format of the meetings allows students to:
Each semester, we bring in a variety of
firms to talk about career opportunities, and what they do (see the
Schedule of Meetings for information on who's presenting this semester).

Outside of Meetings
There are social events and community
service opportunities that allow you to get to know the firms and other
accounting majors in an informal setting. For example, our Bowl-o-Rama
event and our Spring Banquet are great ways to meet with the people at the
firms and get a feel for what each firm is like. Additionally, you
can learn about various summer programs hosted by the firms.
Essentially, these networking opportunities allow you to learn more about
the firms, while letting them know more about yourself.
