$150 Awards

Honoring the Three Top Papers at this Year’s Conference

We will again be awarding a Top Paper Award to the three individuals or groups of students who we believe have completed the best research submitted to the conference. Each individual or group of students will receive a $150 cash award to honor their scholarship. Only completed papers at the time of submission will be eligible for this award.

Faculty on the conference committee will select the top three submissions from among all completed papers submitted to the conference. The award will be selected based on the following criteria:

1. The degree to which the research has depth and significance.
2. The degree to which the research represents new knowledge in an area of communication.
3. The degree to which the research is well written in a scholarly and eloquent way.
4. The degree to which the research represents critical and advanced thinking in an area of communication.
5. The degree to which the research is, overall, an excellent example of student research in an area of communication.

Note:  the $150 award is given to individuals or groups of students.  In the case of multiple student authors submitting a paper, the award will be divided among the students.
