The mission of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences is to provide a practical, values-based learning experience that produces well-rounded, innovative practitioners and leaders in the computer, information, and computational technology areas.  Within an ethical and moral context that values mutual respect and diversity, the department is committed to advancing scholarship, nurturing communication and collaboration, and encouraging life-long learning. Students should develop intellectual curiosity, acquire skills in critical thinking and evaluation, and achieve professional competency in our technological world.
