**** The University of St. Thomas Child Development Center contracts with both the State of Minnesota and Ramsey and Hennepin counties to offer subsidies to families. We also have an in-center sliding fee subsidy pot and pre-tax dollar account that can assist parents with the cost of the program. If you are interested in learning more about any of these subsidy sources, please see the center director.

SLIDING FEE SUBSIDY SCALE

The University of St. Thomas Child Development Center’s sliding fee subsidy is available to student parents whose net income is at or below 110 percent of county maximum income guidelines per family size. To qualify for sliding fee subsidy, student parents must submit a current paid fee statement from the University of St. Thomas AND verification of the family’s net income. Income verification can take the form of:
  • One month's check stubs, and/or
  • A signed and dated income verification letter on employers letterhead, and/or
  • Copies of any income award documents (child support, governmental subsidy, etc.
  • Verification of student status and income will be collected once each semester. The sliding fee subsidy will be credited to parent accounts on the 1st day of the month following submission of all required verification.
If a student parent drops all their classes during the semester, their sliding fee subsidy will continue through the end of that semester. Parents must submit a new and dated paid fee statement from the University of St. Thomas and current verification of the family’s net income to continue receiving the sliding fee subsidy beyond the end of the semester when classes were dropped.
