William D. Larson scholarships are provided by an endowment initiated
by Dr. William Larson, a former faculty member in the Chemistry
department for many years. The scholarships are awarded to students
who show exceptional achievement in the field of chemistry, and who
intend to pursue careers in chemistry, related fields, or medicine.
The
department of chemistry invites chemistry and biochemistry majors who are in their 3rd year of study at UST to
apply for Larson Scholarships. The Larson Scholarship application may
be obtained from Dr. Brom, or may be downloaded by clicking it
here (will be downloaded in the form of a Microsoft Word document).

must be typed using12-point Times font. The only exception to this is
in listing classes yet to be taken at St. Thomas as requested on page

numbers fit into the boxes provided.
- Each page of the
application is numbered. The questions to be answered on each page of
the application are specified at the top of the page. Each question
must be answered succinctly using only the space provided in the boxes
on the application form.
- An unofficial transcript must be attached to the application.
- The application deadline is 4:00 P.M. on Thursday March 13, 2008.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Questions about the application should be directed to Dr. Brom.
