In the past 5 years, the faculty and students of the UST Chemistry Department

• made over 15 presentations each year at regional, national, and international conferences
• published several peer-reviewed journal articles and patent applications each year
• received grants from NSF, ACS-PRF, Research Corporation, Merck-AAAS, and several industrial contracts
• received an award each year for their American Chemical Society Student Affiliate Chapter
• were involved in over 40 faculty-student interactions on research projects each year
• had students accepted for graduate study at Caltech, MIT, Stanford, Minnesota, UC-Berkeley, UC-SF, UC-SD, Iowa St., Wisconsin, Northwestern, Illinois, Rochester, Nebraska
• had students accepted to medical school at Johns Hopkins, Mayo, Northwestern, Minnesota, Wisconsin,  Creighton, Loyola
• had students accepted to pharmacy school at Minnesota, Iowa and Ohio St.
• had graduates employed by 3M, Cargill, General Mills, Medtronic, Eli Lilly, and several other prominent companies
