The Ownership Academy: Entrepreneurship & Innovation in Family Business is a logical first step for families looking to grow and nurture new ways of doing business. This highly interactive, four-session course will help your family identify potential gaps in your marketplace, cultivate new ideas to fit those gaps and look at the business from an entrepreneurial viewpoint. Upon completion of the course you will be able to:
- Develop and analyze new business concepts
- Understand financial risk and rewards associated with change
- Communicate opportunities to the family and business
Families work together with peers and expert faculty to implement a process to effectively identify and evaluate new business opportunities. With feedback gained in class, families are prepared to make decisions that can stabilize the business for the future. Participating families will:
- Understand how to identify and weigh opportunities
- Evaluate a market
- Develop revenue estimates
