Why did my Pending Task(s) disappear?

Pending tasks will sometimes disappear from the user’s home page after the end of the term. The tasks do not disappear from Tk20, rather only the link is removed from the home page. To find your students’ assignments, follow the same steps in the above section on “How do I assess course-based assignments”.

What to do if a student submits an assignment with the wrong artifact or without an artifact?

If the assignment status shows as Open for Editing in the student’s assignment list (“Courses” tab-> Assignments), the student can recall the assignment by marking the checkbox of the assignment in the list and selecting Recall. If the status is listed as Assessment Pending, the student may also try to recall the assignment; however, if you have started completing the assessment tool the student will receive a message stating that the assignment cannot be recalled.

If the student is unable to recall the assignment, you will need to grant an extension in order to reopen the assignment for editing. Please do not revoke the assignment from the student.

To grand an extension to an assignment, follow the same steps as you’d to assess an assignment. On the webpage listing all student names registered for a certain course, click the calendar icon under the Actions column, specify new due date, and click Grand Extension.
