A lifelong educator with more than 40 years of experience, Jeanne Mortinson became Director of the Collaborative Urban Educator Program (CUE) in 2005. The CUE Program initially emphasized an alternative route to teaching licensure.  Before becoming the director, Jeanne served as a CUE mentor with primarily site responsibility for CUE interns in St. Paul Schools. Before joining CUE in 1991, Jeanne served as a teacher and a Curriculum Coordinator for St. Paul Schools for 21 years. During that time Jeanne earned her Master’s in Business from the University of Minnesota and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. Jeanne also works with the Bush Foundation grant on efforts to change the future of educational practices for pre-service teachers.

When not working in education circles, Jeanne spends time as a hockey mom, baseball coach, and football fan for her nine year old, trying to keep up with a lawn almost an acre big, and taking 3 mile walks every day.
