Advancing the Common Good through Public Services and International Affairs:
An Insider's Insight

 

The International Leadership Forum brings in local, national, and internationally renowned leaders to discuss the theme leadership on an international context. For the fall 2013 Forum, the International Leadership Program will host Thomas Hanson, a national expert in U.S. foreign policy.

Thomas Hanson is a former career Foreign Service Officer. While with the U.S. Department of State his foreign postings included East Germany, France, Norway, the Soviet Union, Sweden, and Georgia. He also assisted in opening new embassies in Mongolia and Estonia. Mr. Hanson has worked on the Foreign Relations Committees of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Most recently, he was Director for NATO and European Affairs at the Atlantic Council of the United States in Washington, D.C. Currently he serves as a lecturer/consultant for the Great Decisions program at the Minnesota International Center and works with the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights (U.S. Foundation). He is also Diplomat in Residence at the Alworth Institute for International Studies at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Parking Information

This event is being held in the Anderson Student Center. Guests for this event are to park in the Anderson Parking Facility (APF) located on the corner of Grand Ave. and Cretin Ave. South or Anderson Student Center (ASC) Parking Garage.
