Join us for the 2015 Summer ASD Institute!

Our Summer Institutes give students the option to take three courses during the summer months, allowing you to jump-start your ASD Certificate, Licensure or Masters program. SPED 716: Fundamentals of Mild to Moderate Disabilities*
1-6 p.m., June 15-19
8 a.m.-5 p.m., June 20
SPED 702: Socialization and Communication Skills 
                   for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders
1-6 p.m., July 13-17
8 a.m.-5 p.m., July 18
SPED 703: Methods and Materials for Students with
Autism Spectrum Disorders
1-6 p.m., Aug. 10-14
8 a.m.-5 p.m., Aug. 15

* SPED 716 is a prerequisite to the other two ASD courses, unless you have taken SPED 701 in the past. The cost is $1,245 per 3 credit course.

Autism Spectrum Disorders Summer Institute courses explore:

• The history and current thinking about ASD, and its impact on social understanding, communication, behaviors, sensory processing and anxiety.
• Identification and evaluation methods for students with ASD.
• Processes for establishing priorities for educational needs and individual educational program goals and objectives.
• Research, resources and ongoing access to ASD information.

Use these courses to jump-start your license or certificate program.

If you are not a current student at the University of St. Thomas, apply now so that you can register when registration opens on April 14, 2015. Registration for these courses has filled in the past, so register early to secure a spot.

Students currently enrolled at St. Thomas can register for these courses beginning April 14, 2015.
