Teachers in health education help learners (5-12) develop psychomotor skills, understand how the human body works, and build and maintain good health overall. In addition, teachers in health encourage healthy behaviors in children and youth who may feel invincible, while helping their learners see their responsibility in the choices they make.
As you complete the Teacher Education program at the University of St. Thomas you will:
