Dr. Barnett provides management consulting services through Robert Barnett Consulting LLC, and as a Senior Fellow and Principal Consultant at MDA Leadership Consulting, where he served as Executive Vice President and Partner through 2011. 

Bob has 30 years of consulting experience in the areas of organizational psychology, organizational development, leadership effectiveness, and organizational change.  His work includes engagements with organizations in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, specialty chemicals, government, and education, among others.  At MDA, he was responsible for managing staff consultants, oversight of MDA’s product and service development initiatives, leading engagement teams, and managing client relationships. 

Bob earned his B.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and has an M.S. in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University.  He is a licensed psychologist in the state of Minnesota, an adjunct Professor of Management at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, and an adjunct faculty member in the Organization Learning and Development department of the University of St. Thomas.  He is the recipient of The Larry Wilson Award for Outstanding Contributions to Adult Learning awarded by the University of Minnesota, and has been recognized by St. Mary’s University as an Outstanding Faculty member.  He has authored of a number of articles and book chapters, and is a frequent presenter at psychological, management, and human resource professional meetings and conferences.
