The University of St. Thomas

UNDERGRADUATE ACADEMICS

As a major in Catholic Studies, you will become familiar with resources from the Catholic intellectual tradition that will allow you to explore critically the historical and contemporary significance of Catholicism.

The structure of this curriculum allows you to combine your Catholic Studies degree with a major in any other area of study.  In fact, the vast majority of our students are doing just that, pursuing a second major in everything from business and education to psychology and philosophy.

Catholic Studies enables you to enter your chosen profession with the ability to think critically, act wisely, and engage society in a meaningful way.

You can also choose to minor in Catholic Studies.  This option, which has fewer course requirements, will expose you to the richness and diversity of Catholicism and can serve as an important complement to your other studies at St. Thomas.
