This is a great experience.
I take with me a chance to experience truth, goodness and beauty.
I take with me a great sense of gratitude.
All in four days.
Fantastic.
I found the discussions about CIT rich and broad, focused and with great depth. The breadth of disciplines represented contributed immensely to this invigorating learning environment.
The willingness and ability of the leaders to allow a ranging, yet somehow a focused discussion. The tremendous energy of the leaders.
More than I expected! I have a far better understanding of the CIT and also got to know colleagues in a very meaningful way.
The readings were complete and well ordered. The knowledge and intellectual curiosity of moderators and participants were excellent. The fellowship and time away were wonderful.
Thanks for an excellent, thought-provoking, and refreshing seminar!
Thank you for a wonderful intellectual and personal experience…It has made me think of how the Catholic Intellectual Tradition must enliven my teaching, not to seek converts but to share a unique dimension which will add to the course content. I hope eventually most faculty and staff at UST will have this opportunity.
Careful selection of readings. Format of free exchange. Thoughtful participants, informed moderators.
Listening of the group was profound and affirming. Preparation by the moderators was obvious, their wish to help the group understand and explore the material…
This was a great gift to me. I think it will help me find meaning in my work.
Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to learn and dialogue! What a rich heritage/tradition! Thank you.
Methodology; quality of readings; guidance of discussions.
Openness of the group, willingness to listen, variety of participants.
Complementary strengths, no sense of personal agenda but ability to let the conversation go where it will…Midnight Journal is wonderful. (1) Readings and adequate time for discussion. (2) Retreat environment gave time to get to know people but little time to reflect. (3) Man For All Seasons established sense of group as well as the issues.
The willingness and ability of the leaders to allow a ranging, yet somehow a focused discussion. The tremendous energy of the leaders.
The ability to share ideas and “thought streams” with others.
The discussion – having people familiar with the tradition and readings in the room.
Excellent moderators. Effective format.
Stimulating discussions. Cohesive group. Good environment (setting) for learning.
Opportunity to meet other colleagues at UST. Opportunity to hear (share) rich discussions from colleagues in different disciplines. Opportunity to have “experts” choose excellent readings about CIT rather than asking me to research this on my own, which I probably would never to due to time. Very well organized – I liked the service hours between sections to review and prepare and ponder.
Readings. People present and their willingness to share their insights.
Contact with primary texts of the tradition. Quality of the participants’ dialogue.
Aspen format – spirit of all participants, content of readings, creativity of comments.
