The Post Graduation Survey is assembled annually by the Career Development Center in an effort to provide accurate and useful information to students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community about the post-graduation activities of undergraduate students from the University of St. Thomas. We hope that this information will be used to advise current and future students.
The most recent Post Graduation Survey Report was published in April of 2008 and reports the data of those who graduated in December 2006, and May and July 2007.
On this site you will find survey reports formatted for the Web dating back to the class of 1998. These online excerpts are just part of what is included in the complete report.
The complete report includes all the data available online (employment and continuing education status, and median salary ranges) but adds information such as company of employment, job titles, internship organizations, graduate schools and programs, and break downs by department and major. Respondents are never identified in the report.
Though the complete report is available online as a PDF, hard copies of the report may be picked up in the Career Development Center or mailed to you upon request (see below).
In the summer of 2004 the survey process was redesigned. The information in current surveys cover alumni who graduated from an undergraduate program during the previous academic year. The Career Development Center, with the help of Institutional Research and Planning and the Development Office, contacts December, May, and summer graduates.
The information in surveys prior to 2002 covers students who graduated during the previous calendar year. The University's Office of Institutional Research included questions about post-graduation status as part of their "Survey of Graduates-One Year Follow-Up," to May and July graduates a year after graduation. Our office was provided with the results of the initial mailing, and followed with mail surveys to December graduates, as well as to May and July graduates who had not responded to the Institutional Research survey.
If you would like a hard copy of the report mailed to you please provide us with your name, mailing address, and number of copies requested. Due to limited quantities, the Career Development Center reserves the right to limit the number of copies sent from our office.
University departments may request data pertaining to their departments such as the number of graduates employed and those seeking graduate degrees. However, the graduate's personal information is kept confidential and individual salary responses may not be released.
