1999 Post Graduation Survey Report

The information in this report covers students who graduated during the calendar year 1999. The university's Office of Institutional Research included questions regarding post-graduation status as part of their "Survey of Graduates-One Year Follow Up," to May and July 1999 graduates a year after graduation. Our office was provided with the results of the initial mailing, and followed with mail surveys to December 1999 graduates, as well as to May and July 1999 graduates who had not responded to the Institutional Research survey. Graduates responded either by mail or electronically by a Web-based form.

The actual number of students graduating in 1999 was 1,045. Of the total graduates, 185 graduated with double majors. Through the survey, information was gathered on 650 students. This number is a combination of the Institutional Research and Career Services surveys and reflects a 62.2% response rate. Of those surveyed, 116 students graduated with double majors. Those students have been counted in both major groups, which accounts for the total of 766 for "number contacted."

Seventeen students indicated that they were both working and enrolled in a graduate program. Because of this and the double majors, the total count of all activities by major equaled 774.
