The purpose of this page is to provide a summary of information regarding your privacy as a client of the Career Development Center (also referred to as "we" or "us" or "center" herein) and is not meant to be a substitute for polices put forth by the University of St. Thomas and career partners which the Career Development Center complies with. As a division of the University of St. Thomas, the Career Development Center follows policies put forth by the university. University policies are available online.
The Career Development Center is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and follows the Principles For Professional Conduct For Career Services and Employment Professionals.
eRecruiting, the vendor system used for the Career Information Network and On-Campus Interviewing is provided by Experience.com, Inc. eRecruiting stores student information including, but not limited to, résumés, cover letters, and writing samples in electronic form on their own servers for purposes of the services they provide our students.
A copy of "Career Services: Your Rights and Responsibilities" may be picked up at our office in 350 Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
The Career Development Center does not share personal information such as test scores, student transcripts, and résumés with employers. We do not apply for positions on a student's behalf.
The Career Development Center does provide outside vendors with contact information in order to provide students with the ability to participate in On-Campus Interviewing and the Career Information Network. Any additional information, such as résumés, student transcripts, and test scores that the student provides while participating in programs offered by the center are provided at the sole discretion of the student using the services. In accordance with policies and principles of NACE and the University of St. Thomas, contact information is provided to vendors with confidence that it will not be used for purposes other than those expressed by the center.
The Career Development Center may send reminders and updates via E-mail to students participating in On-Campus Interviewing, seminars, or other programs. Students may choose not to participate in center programs at any time by contacting us.
The Career Development Center is not responsible for information students submit to employers in electronic, verbal, written, or other form. While we try our best to provide students valuable opportunities with reliable employers, we are not responsible for the privacy policies of employers using our services to fill job/internship positions. Students apply for jobs and internships through our services, including our Web site, at their own discretion.
Employers post positions directly to this site using our online job/internship listings. The UST Career Development Center does not edit, monitor or verify the accuracy of the information submitted by the employers, nor does the center review the background of the employers. The Career Development Center does not guarantee that all jobs and internships listed are still available and is not responsible for safety, security, wages, working conditions, or other aspects of off-campus employment. Therefore, please use discretion when contacting these employers.
The Career Development Center provides links to off-site resources on the Internet. The Career Development Center is not responsible for the content or practices of these sites.
