Career Information Network for Alumni

Career Information Network for Alumni

As an alumnus or alumnae of St. Thomas you are in the unique position to seek out an informational interview contact, provide information about your career and employer or both!

Alumni may act as professional contacts willing to answer questions from students and alumni about their career path, day to day job activities, and company culture as well as seek out contacts to provide information during a career or job transition.

What the Career Information Network Is and Is Not:

  • It is not a job search networking tool
  • It is not a marketing or sales directory
  • It is a very useful way to connect with industry professionals who wish to share their career and job experiences in an informational setting.
  • It is a way for students and alumni to learn more about occupations and companies.

Examples of questions include:

  • How did you choose your major/career path?
  • What would you do differently if you were to make your career choices over again?
  • Could you describe your company culture?

Professionals will be able to:

  • Provide advice and information on topics they are interested in (employer information, career advising, résumé review, etc.)
  • Control what personal information is shown in their profile.
