We do not keep an online archive of complete shows. However, our podcast segments are archived for one month (see below). Expect the latest show to be available within a few hours of broadcast (24-48 hours if Chad is away). We do not broadcast during university holidays or over summer break.

If you really need an old show in its entirety, contact careertalk@stthomas.edu with the episode air date.

Podcasts

We trim the show down to about 20 minutes for our podcast listeners. We understand that auditory attention spans are short and students are busy and on the go. Listeners may quickly seek out the information they want and fit the condensed version into a short break or walk across campus.

Hosts

Paul and Chad share the task of hosting the show. Additional career counselors rotate through the co-pilot seat.

Paul is a career counselor in the Career Development Center. He brings to the show a deep appreciation for music and enjoys playing songs from his vast collection (vinyl included).

Chad has worked in the Career Development Center as the technical process analyst for 5 years. He manages student career activity records, the Post Graduation Survey, and most, if not all, services delivered through the use of technology in our department.

Purpose

Our purpose is to engage the UST community in career and vocational development. We discuss timely career topics, take comments and questions from listeners, play some music, and regularly interview members of the university and surrounding community to cover the wide variety of experiences our students, alumni, faculty and staff may encounter.
