What about access?
What about meal plans?
The University of St. Thomas is pleased to offer several meal plans to both residents and commuters. The University of St. Thomas offers block or declining meal plans and are combined with flex dollar allowances. Meal plan participants are welcome to use their board meals in The View (Anderson Student Center), the BINZ (South Campus)or Food for Thought (Minneapolis). Flex dollars are for use in any food service location and are not valid anywhere else on campus. They must be used by the end of the semester and do not carry over to the next semester. For more information on meal plans and dining services visit: www.stthomas.edu/dining
What is the difference between flex and eXpress?
Flex dollars are attached to meal plans. Flex dollars can be used only to purchase food items at The View, T's, Binz, Food for Thought, Beakers Coffee Cart, Brady Coffee Cart, Summit Market Place, Pit Stop, Scooter's, The Loft . Flex dollars expire at the end of the semester and any remaining balance will be forfeited. Most students check their balances the last month of the semester and spend accordingly. More information on resident and non-resident meal plans can be found on the food services web page at: www.stthomas.edu/dining/plans/default.html
Express dollars and/or accounts are attached to your ID card and are similar to pre-paid debit cards. You can make deposits with cash, check or charge your student account. Cash and Check deposits over $50 will receive a 5% cash bonus at the time of the deposit. You can make deposits at the Card Office in MHC 101 (St Paul), the Public Safety Desk (Minneapolis) or by mail.
Express dollars can be used to purchase your books and supplies, clothing and gifts at the UST Bookstores, food items at any of the on- campus dining locations, and many vending machines across campus. Unused eXpress dollars will stay on your card until you transfer or graduate.
