The University of St. Thomas

College of Applied Professional Studies opend July 1

For Immediate Release

July 2, 2007

School of Education and Graduate School of Professional Psychology become part of the new College of Applied Professional Studies as of July 1.

Effective July 1, the School of Education and the Graduate School of Professional Psychology became part of the new College of Applied Professional Studies at the University of St. Thomas.

The organizational change will bring together more closely two programs that were allied a generation ago at St. Thomas. The change will enable the schools to work collaboratively and to develop interdisciplinary curricula. By adopting a structure that reflects the contemporary challenges of education and human services, the new college will be better able to serve the common good.

Dr. Susan Huber will serve a three-year appointment as dean of the new college. She also will continue in her leadership role in the School of Education.
