The University of St. Thomas

What We Do

What Do We Do?

Each J-Term and Spring Break, student-led VISION groups work to affect positive social change in the St Thomas, national, and global communities.

For one to three weeks, students experience the diverse beauty of the world's cultures, get to know people from across the University and the world, grapple with the issues of poverty and injustice, and reflect as a group on issues of faith and life.

VISION participants immerse themselves in the Six Components:
  • Service

  • Community

  • Spirituality

  • Simplicity

  • Justice Issues

  • Cultural Exchange

  •

A VISION Participant fully immersed in the components.

For over twenty years St. Thomas students have worked tirelessly alongside communities building clinics and schools, planting trees, painting, teaching and mentoring. We bring curiosity, energy, willingness to work, and our own unique culture to each of these experiences.

VISION is open to all undergraduate students. The selection process includes both a written application and an interview. Applications are availabe for pick-up at the beginning of Fall and Spring Semester in Murray Herrick Center 153.
