Service Opportunities & Justice Initiatives

Service and Justice

Campus Ministry hopes to instill in students the Gospel’s call of service to our neighbors: those next door as well as those from across the world. In collaboration with the Center for Community Partnerships we invite students to explore service and justice opportunities in the Twin Cities, nationally and abroad.

VIA: Volunteers In Action

Volunteers In Action is a student-led organization that coordinates over 300 students committed to service in the Twin Cities area. Volunteers work 2-3 hours a week either as a member of a team of UST students or individually with one of twelve local agencies.

VISION: Volunteers In Service Internationally or Nationally

Last year over 200 students participated in VISION, which provides opportunity for service experiences over J-Term and spring break. VISION trips are based on six components: service, simplicity, spirituality, community, justice issues, and intercultural exchange.
