What is Volunteers-In-Action?

Volunteers-In-Action (VIA) is a Campus Ministry affiliated service organization aimed at serving the people of the Twin Cities Metro Area. VIA works to educate students on social justice issues present in the Cities and issues they may encounter at their specific site. VIA also hosts the Holiday Dinner for the Dorothy Day Center, sponsors on-campus service days, like Community Clean-Up Day, and much more! VIA is a great way to get involved on-campus and meet other students who are interested in serving!

We have six different sites around the Cities: Westside Boys and Girls Club, Adopt-A-Grandparent at Episcopal Church Home, El Voluntariado at La Oportunidad Inc. and the Waite House, MEDS at United Hospital, and Tommie Outreach at various locations. Each site is unique in who it serves, making VIA an exciting organization where students are given the opportunity to interact with lots of different people and experience different service organizations in their community!

Join us today to live out our motto, “Service is a lifestyle,” and experience the power of making a difference!
