Music Ministry
“Teach me the songs of your truth, oh Lord, that I may bear fruit in you. And open to me the music of your Holy Spirit that with every note I may praise You. Out of Your abundant kindness grant me this, for You are sufficient for all our needs. Alleluia!” – Odes of Solomon, Second Century

Music ministry helps to bring our community’s worship alive by engaging our hearts and minds and bodies in praise. The Liturgical Choir and Hand Bell Choir combine the joy of worship with class credit. Vocalists, pianists, organists, guitarists, percussionists and every type of band and orchestral instrument are needed for Sunday masses as well as for special liturgies and ecumenical services. For more information or to volunteer please e-mail or call the Chapel Music Center at 651-962-6572. If you want to become involved in any of these activities, please take the time to fill out our Campus Ministry Information Card.

Membership is by audition and open to graduate and undergraduate students of all faiths and cultural backgrounds. Academic credit is offered toward fulfilling the Fine Arts requirements, and is offered free of charge. Rehearsals are Tuesday/Thursday 1:30-3:00 pm. The next international tour is scheduled for 2007--the choir will travel to Rome, Italy; past tours have included Europe, the Holy Land and Ireland. The annual weekend fall retreat at the Gainey Conference Center is one of the choir’s many activities which explore and express our commitment to the importance of spiritual, service and social aspects of college life. |
