Campus Ministry offers a variety of worship experiences, including Sunday and daily Masses, seasonal services, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Your participation as an active member of the congregation helps foster the faith community of St. Thomas. Join us and let the spirit and power of the liturgy be one of your teachers.
As liturgical ministers, students are called to help the community celebrate.
Hospitality Ministers welcome the community as it gathers for worship. This important ministry helps each person to feel welcome as they enter the chapel, distribute worship aids, help people find a seat, and assist with the offering. The Christian tradition reminds us that hospitality is of paramount importance because by doing so ?some have entertained angels unaware.?
Eucharistic Ministers undertake the important ministry of distributing the Eucharist at mass. The Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist unites us both to Jesus and to each other. Eucharistic ministers are trained to share the Body and Blood of Christ with the congregation with reverence and joy.

Through voice, eye contact and personal presence lectors proclaim the Word of God to the assembly. For clear and prayerful proclamation at mass, lectors prepare the week before they are to minister by reading the scripture passage or prayers, reflecting on their meaning, and practicing speaking the readings.
Mass Coordinators have several roles in the liturgy at UST. Each Mass Coordinator heads a mass team of lectors, hospitality and Eucharistic ministers. The MC reminds team members when it is their turn to minister, helps build community in the team, and assists the team to understand their vital roles in the liturgy. During the liturgy, Mass Coordinators assist the presider by taking responsibility for various details. These include assisting with the sacramentary when the presider needs to read from it; bringing the vessels from the credence table in preparation for the liturgy of the Eucharist; carrying the processional cross. Mass Coordinators are usually chosen in the spring after an application and interview process.
Liturgy preparers help the community actively celebrate the liturgical seasons of the church in collaboration with Directors of Liturgy and the Chapel Music Center and student liturgical assistants and music ministers.
