What is Tommie Challenge?
Tommie Challenge is a new part of the St. Thomas Homecoming experience, the challenge allows students to participate in Homecoming events, earn points and win prizes. For more information regarding this new experience please check out the information below it includes what events are part of the challenge and ends with how to register for the challenge.
Tommie Challenge Events
Tommie Atrium Banner Contest
Show your Tommie Pride by designing a homecoming spirited atrium banner. Banners can be no larger than 3ft wide and 6ft long. All entries will be judged on creativity, Tommie Spirit, connection to homecoming and its artistic value. Supplies are available in the Project Resource Room (PRR) in the Frank and Judy Sunberg Student Leadership Center located on the 3rd floor of the Anderson Student Center. All Banners must be turned in by 9am on September 30th in the Headquarters of Campus Life, ASC 325. Winners of the Banner Contest will be announced Saturday during Purple on the Plaza.
Tommie Digital Signage Contest
Help us fill campus digital signage with Tommie Spirit. All entries must be 1366 x 768 pixels with 72 ppi to work with our digital signage system. Email your final digital signage entry to Campus Life at: (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 9am on Monday, Sept 30th. Please include in the subject line of the e-mail: Team Name – Digital Signage. Winners of the digital signage contest will be announced Saturday during Purple on the Plaza.
Tap into your group’s creative vibe and create a UST Homecoming Spirit Video. This video can range from anywhere from a recreation of a music video to a short story about Tommie Pride - either way these videos are bound to be epic. Make sure to submit your Spirit Video via e-mail by 9pm to be entered into the contest.
Time Limit: 5 minutes
Content: All videos must be homecoming spirited in nature and support the mission of the
University of St. Thomas. Content must be appropriate and respectful. All videos will
be reviewed by the Homecoming Committee. Entries will be disqualified for use of
profanity, vulgarity or any inappropriate messages or images.

Homecoming Parade - Summit Avenue 10:30am
Join us along Summit Avenue for the annual Homecoming Parade. This annual tradition features student groups, UST alumni, faculty and staff, local businesses and community groups and Tommie. Check HERE for more information and guidelines.

Winner Announcement: Purple on the Plaza 12:45pm
Overall Challenge Prizes
1st Place: Bowling Party with Catered Meal up to 50 students & $1,000 in club/organization funds*
2nd Place: Bowling Party with Pizza and Ice Cream & $800 in club/organization funds*
3rd Place: Pizza and Ice Cream Party & $500 in club/organization funds*
*Only recognized student club, organization or university sponsored group is eligible for prize funds and these funds will be deposited into University accounts
*Meals will only be provided for registered team members of up to 50 people
