  4. How can I change my residence hall room?

    • Requests for room changes will not be accepted until after the first full week of classes of each semester. Before requesting a room change, students are encouraged to discuss other alternatives with their roommate(s), RAs and apartment coordinators.
    • Students initiate the room change process by meeting with their area director or hall director and obtaining a Room Change Request/Change of Occupancy Form during that meeting. Students will then receive specific instructions on how to proceed with their room change request.
    • It is primarily the student’s responsibility to locate a new room or roommate. However, Residence Life professional staff members are available to discuss alternatives, provide support, and make new assignments.
    • Students may not change rooms without first receiving permission from their area director or hall director. Persons moving without permission will be subject to disciplinary action and fines and may be required to move back to their original rooms.
