Tommie and the Mascot Team

Tommie, the University of St. Thomas mascot, serves as an ambassador and promoter of school pride and spirit at various on campus events and specific off campus athletic events.

The Tommie Mascot Team consists of up to six UST undergraduate students. The students appear as Tommie and/or escort Tommie at various events. The Mascot Team fosters school spirit in a positive and professional manner through the use of Tommie and a team of students that escort Tommie. This team provides a vocal spirit in addition to Tommie's animation spirit. The Tommie Escorts wear various UST paraphernalia; hand out giveaways; throw footballs or basketballs; use various instruments to generate fan participation at athletic events; and escort Tommie. The UST Mascot Team members demonstrate school spirit, a positive attitude and the ability to act responsibly while serving as Tommie mascot or escort.

UST community members can request to have Tommie appear at your on-campus, University sponsored event. Please complete the application below and return to the Department of Campus Life at campuslife@stthomas.edu or in ASC 325.
