Learners to Leaders

Learners to Leaders (L2L) is a professional networking and leadership development initiative designed to support the educational and career success of college students and recent college graduates from under-represented communities who have demonstrated leadership ability and expressed an interest in continuing their education at the graduate level.

2015 Learners to Leaders Summit

Ethical Leadership: Leading from the Heart
February 21, 2015

L2L offers participants an opportunity to meet other accomplished, high-potential students and young professionals from around the region, as well as professors, current graduate students and recent graduate school alumni from a variety of disciplines.

As a longstanding educational leader in Minnesota, St. Thomas is firmly committed to the communities we serve – communities that contribute to the diversity and vitality of the university. Our goal is to strengthen these communities and our programs by engaging high-potential students in an ongoing conversation about the opportunities and benefits of a graduate education.

Nominations must be received by January 30, 2015. L2L candidates will be accepted on a rolling basis as their nominations are received. To nominate a participant, please proceed to the L2L Nomination Form.

Nominees should possess the following key qualities:

  • Solid academic achievement (3.0 GPA minimum, 3.5 GPA preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership contributions
  • Expressed interest in graduate education in any field
  • A commitment to support increased participation of under-represented minorities in graduate degree-granting programs and professional leadership positions

Interested candidates are encouraged to engage an academic mentor, faculty member, supervisor or colleague to request a nomination.
