Scholarships

Acquiring an MBA at St. Thomas is a wise investment.

Studies have shown that money spent on education is one of the most powerful measures of future success, and the ROI of a St. Thomas MBA is a rich combination of knowledge, connections and career-building.

Dean’s Scholarship - $5,000

Dean’s Scholarships are awarded to top candidates who will be strong contributors to the classroom, boardroom and community. A Dean's Scholarship of $5,000 is awarded to outstanding candidates who fit this criteria. 

The Admissions Committee evaluates a variety of factors when awarding Dean's Scholarships, including:

  • Work experience
  • Academic record
  • Recommendations
  • Essays
  • Test Scores on the GMAT, GRE or MBA Math
  • Admission interview

Applicants will automatically be considered for the Dean's Scholarship during the Admissions Committee review process.  No separate scholarship application is required.

Tommie Alumni Scholarship

Tommie Alumni Scholarship: covers tuition for 3.0 credits


St. Thomas undergraduate alumni have consistently been strong contributors to the Part-time Flex MBA program while simultaneously exceling in their careers and communities.  We love welcoming alumni back to the St. Thomas graduate business community and are proud to offer a scholarship specifically for Tommie undergraduate alums.

The Tommie Alumni Scholarship will cover the cost of 3.0 credits for any St. Thomas undergraduate alumni admitted to the Part-time Flex MBA program.  This scholarship will be automatically awarded upon admission and no separate application is required.

Military Consideration

The Opus College of Business welcomes applications from men and women with military backgrounds and is honored to be chosen as a Military Friendly Business School by MBA.com. The college offers the following benefits to veterans:  

  • Waiver of the application fee for persons with a history of service
  • One-year deferment of acceptance and scholarship if admitted military students' plans are delayed by their service branch

In addition, the University of St. Thomas is participating in the Yellow Ribbon Education Enhancement Program, a provision of the Post 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. St. Thomas provides unlimited Yellow Ribbon awards to graduate students in the Opus College of Business; this tuition benefit will be matched by the Veterans Administration.
