OCB Graduate Business alumni participate in Hearts & Hammers

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Saturday, June 2, was a not only a beautiful day to be outside enjoying the sunny weather,  it was also a spectacular day to be taking part in the spring 2012 Hearts & Hammers Project Day.  Hearts & Hammers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding elderly and disabled homeowners with exterior home improvement projects, was pleased to have members of the OCB Graduate Business Alumni community help for a third year in a row.  This year, 25 alumni gathered to display their external improvement expertise by painting siding, resealing a deck and refurbishing landscaping throughout the property.

The day started in true alumni fashion with a warm cup of coffee, doughnuts and introductions to new and old alumni alike.  The homeowners of the project house were beaming from ear to ear as their house transformed in appearance.  They were incredibly grateful for the efforts of the UST alumni group and their willingness to dedicate a Saturday to this effort.

The Opus College of Business plans to continue its involvement with Hearts & Hammers and is planning a fall project day.  To learn more about the Graduate Business Alumni involvement with Hearts & Hammers, or other volunteer events, please contact Jeff Kaczrowski at (651) 962-4253 or
