Summit Brewing expands their business

Times are good for St. Paul's Summit Brewing Company. Business is booming, beer is flowing and the brewery is in the middle of a $6 million expansion of their brewing facilities, KSTP reports. The expansion will boost the company's capacity by "another 120,000 barrels a year," according to founder Mark Stutrud.

Asked for comment about the expansion, David Vang, a professor of finance at the Opus College of Business, praised the diversity of jobs provided by the brewery. "Everything from maintenance people to keep the places clean, to people with some kind of technical training for sterilization as well as eventually the master brewer," Vang said.
