Minnesota adds 15,500 jobs in January

2012 started out with a hiring surge, the Star Tribune reports, with 15,500 jobs added to Minnesota's economy in the month of January. This brings the state's unemployment rate to 5.6%, well below the national rate of 8.3%. And more good news may be in the offing — in the article, UST economics professor Mel Gray notes that he sees "some underlying strengths that have not been tapped yet."
