Sales Up, Prices Down in Twin Cities Real Estate Market

The latest numbers for the 13-county Twin Cities market show that while more homes are being sold, the median-sale price has dropped during July and August.

That median price went from $197,000 in July to $196,000 in August.

The Shenehon Center for Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas' Opus College of Business released its real estate index for last month.

The center's experts say the drop in the median price may be due to the number of lower-priced homes on the market.
