David Vang, chairman of the finance department at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business, said that buying a company back after selling it is rare. Debasish Mallick, a professor in the department of decision sciences at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business, said that while outsourcing might offer cheaper labor, it can bring significant, often-overlooked costs because of coordination and communication difficulties that arise in countries with infrastructure problems.
